Tips:

  • As history taught us both Hitler and Napoleon failed on planning to "visit" Russia. You don't want to repeat their mistake. So, don't you dare to forget how harsh Russia's weather can get. So, Plan your trip accordingly.
  • Knowing address is not enough in Moscow as it's little tricky. The naming and numbering system of Moscow streets is as sporadic as it is incomprehensible. So, it's better you first contact your hotel/apartment owner for better address understanding.
  • A very few people speaks English in Russia. Use Yandex App for language conversion, it's better than Google Translate. Use Yandex maps as well.
  • For Transportation we recommend, subway. Moscow metro is the best. Almost 9 million people use it everyday. It's cheap, it's fast, it's reliable. It's only 38 Russian Ruble/trip (around 0.5 $ USD). Plus, Moscow metro stations are very attractive.
  • If you're not on a business visitor with company's credit card and genuine tourist than we recommend an Airbnb apartment over hotels as its cheap and you'll get feel of Russia's unique flair for interior design.
  • No data plan? Don't worry, you can access free WiFi in most of the city area.
